Otocos has a strong track record of working with businesses on an interim basis, either to cover short term resourcing challenges or to lead on establishing new areas of work.
Wendy was contracted by Stirling University Innovation Park (SUIP) from August 2014 to July 2015, to provide interim Project Direction for Sporting Chance Initiative when the Project Manager left to take up a new position. The project was co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund, SUIP and the University of Stirling to support sports-related businesses in Scotland to grow. Wendy had already provided project management maternity cover earlier in the project and was the natural choice to pick up the reins in the final stage of this project.
Under Wendy's leadership the team piloted the Sports Innovation Challenge, a highly successful new student enterprise project, as well as hosting the first ever Sports Business Innovation Awards to recognise, reward and celebrate the sports industry in Scotland. The project received new funding as a direct result of Wendy's work and is now evolving into a new phase, continuing to provide specialist sports business support.
