Edinburgh Science Triangle
Science Parks and Innovation Centres Company Survey
Otocos surveyed 68 companies located on the Science Parks in the Edinburgh Science Triangle (EST): Roslin BioCentre, Pentlands Science Park, Edinburgh Technopole, Heriot-Watt Research Park and the Alba Innovation Centre.
The results have directly influenced local economic development policy and will ultimately strengthen the local economy. Project stakeholders have used the outputs to improve their services and focus on what matters most to their current and prospective customers:
- The Science Parks viewed the information as the most useful output for them from the EST project at that time. They have already used the feedback to develop existing tenant services, tailor their marketing activities and underpin funding applications for future development of their facilities
- The Local Authorities have used the data to consider gaps in their support for local companies, promote the facilities on the Science Parks and underpin the local economic development case to support and fund such facilities.
- The Edinburgh Science Triangle project team has used the feedback to develop its own programme of work to facilitate business and economic growth in the Edinburgh region.
